Andy Lindberg’s life is living proof of how God shapes, guides, and protects His people even long before they ever recognize His protection. With more than 30 years of service as a professional ocean lifeguard and EMT, Andy has saved countless lives on both American coasts. But behind every rescue, every crisis, and every challenge lies a deeper story, the story of God preparing a young boy for a purpose far greater than he imagined.
Andy’s mission is simple:
To inspire, protect, and remind others that God never abandons His people—even in the deepest waters.
God’s Quiet Direction
Born the youngest of three in a military family, Andy experienced early instability when his parents divorced at age seven. Much of his upbringing required him to grow quickly and figure out life’s struggle on his own, make his own decisions without proper guidance if they even were correct decisions. The path was often wild, messy, and unpredictable but it built the resilience and courage God would later use to save lives.
Though Andy didn’t always understand it at the time, God was molding him through the chaos, shaping his strength and sharpening his instincts long before he ever stepped into the lifeguard tower.
Journey Toward Faith
Raised Lutheran, attended Baptist teachings, and today a devoted Presbyterian, Andy’s spiritual journey has not been a straight line. There were times when he lost his way, but never a moment when God lost him.
A powerful turning point came while hearing the story of Joseph in church. In that moment, the Holy Spirit opened Andy’s eyes to see his entire life differently. The struggles, the victories, the dangers, the people, every piece had been to prepare him for his calling. Andy recognized that nothing was random. Every chapter was part of God’s divine training.
