Description

A book about God’s direction and control over my life. It’s about how God used many good and bad experiences to help me mature, grow stronger, learn, and mold me into the person I am today. God helped me save many lives over 30 years of service as a professional ocean lifeguard and EMT with four beach patrols on both oceans. When hearing the story of Joseph in church, I realized my life story was similar. The Holy Spirit came over me and revealed all of God’s blessings in my life. I saw how God was training me as a boy to become a lifeguard, saw prayers that were answered I could not see before, I saw how God used good and bad people in my life to direct my paths. Most of the time, his direction was to something greater. God helped me receive many unexpected awards throughout my life.

I am the youngest of three boys from a military family. My parents divorced when I was 7 years old. I mostly raised myself without much parental guidance. There were many wild and crazy times in my past, and I share them here in this book. I grew up as a Lutheran, attended Baptist, and now I am a Presbyterian. I lost and found my way with God a few times, but God never gave up on me. He was always there for me, even when I was not there for Him.
